Labor Day – Being a tourist in your own city

This past Labor Day, my family and I spent the day re-exploring our own city. It’s amazing how much Chicago has to offer, and it’s easy to forget how fun it can be to do the “touristy” things! So much fun to take the train downtown, stand under the bean, walk along the river, and take our pictures by the Chicago Theater. You know, just set-aside the Chicago attitude and participate in the city. At least it was fun until it got hot and crowded, and then we were more than ready to go back home.

This was Sam’s first time downtown, and he slept through most of it, but I’m sure we’ll be back. Love living here!
